The company will continue its journey as a key surfactant producer in North America continually delivering new products and solutions that make world evolve through chemistry.
Oxiteno is celebrating its 10th Anniversary of local USA business operations on July 30, 2017. It has been a rewarding journey to serve our clients locally and establish new partnerships in North America during the last decade.
Our ever-increasing capabilities, like the upcoming new Alkoxylation Unit for Pasadena, TX in 2018 and our current R&D laboratory in Mississippi, will continue to strengthen our presence and long-term commitment to the USA and allow us to deliver unique solutions to our customers.
The history of Oxiteno in the USA started in July 2007 with its first commercial office established in New Jersey to increase our footprint with our North American customers and better meet their needs.
In April 2012, Oxiteno acquired its first industrial plant in Pasadena, TX and started local production of surfactants and specialty chemicals in multiple industry segments. Agrochemicals was the first market served by Oxiteno’s Pasadena plant and it was later followed by Household and I&I, Personal Care, Oil & Gas and other industrial applications.
In 2015, Oxiteno and Ultrapar announced their final investment decision to build a world scale, state-of-the-art Alkoxylation unit in Pasadena with the vision of expanding our surfactants portfolio and specialty chemicals offered to the North American market.
In September of 2016, Oxiteno opened an R&D Center in Hattiesburg, MS in partnership with the University of Southern Mississippi (USM) to foster innovation and development of solutions to our local clients.
As we move forward, Oxiteno will continue its journey as a key surfactant producer in North America continually delivering new products and solutions that make world evolve through chemistry.
