Oxiteno to Attend 39th Symposium on Pesticide Formulation and Delivery Systems

Posted On: September 26, 2018

The symposium is sponsored by ASTM’s Committee E35 on Pesticides, Antimicrobials, and Alternative Control Agents.

Oxiteno will attend the 39th Symposium on Pesticide Formulation and Delivery Systems: Innovative Applications, Formulation and Adjuvant Technologies. The conference to be held October 23-25, 2018 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, DC.

Oxiteno presents the lecture “Alternative Tank Mix Adjuvant for Glufosinate”

Oxiteno will present a case study comparing two categories of adjuvants commonly used in Brazil and the United States for Glufosinate applications. As both technologies have use restrictions, the paper will propose the use of an alternative technology that explores greater spreadability and adhesion as performance enhancers for the herbicide.

The importance of Glufosinate is growing in weed control programs as glyphosate resistance spreads. The case study is based on performance evaluation of a spreader sticker, AMS and crop oil adjuvants in terms of dynamic surface tension, contact angle on flat and tilted surfaces, and bio-efficacy in greenhouse to control amaranth and signal grass in Mississippi.

Join us as we discuss our takeaways.
