The symposium is sponsored by ASTM’s Committee E35 on Pesticides, Antimicrobials, and Alternative Control Agents.

Oxiteno will attend the 38th Symposium on Pesticide Formulation and Delivery Systems: Innovative Application, Formulation and Adjuvant Technologies – and present applied research in this field.
The symposium is scheduled for October 10-12 at the Sheraton New Orleans, Louisiana, the United States and is sponsored by ASTM’s Committee E35 on Pesticides, Antimicrobials, and Alternative Control Agents.
Oxiteno’s agrochemicals R&D team will deliver two lectures at the conference:
– Paper: “Studies to Predict the Best Dispersant Aiming Suspensibility Improvements”
The studies aim to validate a faster and more robust methodology to evaluate and choose surfactants as dispersants in agrochemical formulations. The evaluation was done by correlating surface tension before and after hydrophobic surface contact (using graphite as hydrophobic surface) with clarification rate technique by transmittance measurements. Using these results, a case of study will be shown for WG formulations with Diuron and Tebuconazole.
Presented by Alan Halecky (4). Authors: Ana Paula Bodemeier (1), Cíntia Fávaro (1) and Cintia Tancsik (1).
October 11 – 2:20 pm

– Paper: “Is Retention the Old-New Problem in a Drift Control Era?”
The main goal of this study was to evaluate drift potential versus retention of glyphosate and dicamba applied with flat fan and air induction nozzles. The herbicides were evaluated with and without tank mix adjuvants used for drift control.
Presented by Fernanda Costa. Authors: Fernanda Costa (1), Cíntia Fávaro (1), Vanessa da Silva (1), W. Alison Forster (2) and Andrew J. Hewitt (3).
October 11 – 3:15 pm
In addition to presenting these papers, our team will be receiving clients and partners by appointment in Oxiteno’s meeting room at the Sheraton Hotel New Orleans. Be sure to catch our presentations and visit us there!
